Slippage is the gap between the price you see and the price when the transaction actually executes. In fast-moving markets, that gap can open within seconds.
Slippage vs price impact Price impact comes from your own transaction shifting the pool balance. The larger the trade relative to pool liquidity, the larger the impact. Slippage includes price impact plus market movement while the transaction waits.
Slippage tolerance Tolerance sets the worst result you will accept. If execution passes that limit, the transaction fails and you only lose gas. Too little tolerance causes frequent failures; too much opens the risk of a much worse price.
A sensible range For stable pairs such as USDC to USDT, 0.1–0.5 percent is usually enough. For thinly traded tokens you may need a higher tolerance, but also consider reducing the trade size.
Minimum received IDSWAP shows the minimum you receive based on your chosen tolerance. That number is your protection: if the market moves past it, the transaction will not execute at a worse result.
