Swapping tokens looks simple: pick a token, enter an amount, sign. But blockchain transactions are final. Build the habit of checking a few small things before you hit sign.
1. Make sure the network and token are correct A contract address is the identity of a token, not its name. Anyone can create a token with the same symbol. Always compare the contract address with the official project source or a trusted token list. On IDSWAP, curated tokens are marked, and you can import others by contract address.
2. Read the summary before signing Check the amount you pay, the minimum you receive, price impact, and the service fee. If price impact is much higher than usual, consider a smaller amount or wait for liquidity to improve.
3. Understand token approvals For ERC-20 tokens, your wallet usually asks once to let the router contract move your tokens. Limit the approval amount when your wallet supports it. IDSWAP never asks for access to all of your assets.
4. Keep the transaction hash After sending, keep the hash. You can check status on the network explorer. If the interface disconnects, the hash still lets you track the transaction.
5. Beware of fake links and extensions Reach IDSWAP only through the official address. Never enter a seed phrase on any site, including one claiming to be customer support.
